WHEN FIRE SUITS JUST SUIT
We found that we eliminated all repairs and maintenance costs for fire suits when we moved to having ‘lifetime care’. In the past we had to send them overseas for weeks and the downtime combined with the repair costs was a financial unknown. But the bigger win was the ability to trade back unneeded suits to Styx Mill. We had generations of old suits hanging on the hooks across our station, most of which didn’t fit or match what we needed. Now we have up-to-date fire suits that fit all users. I estimate that the lifetime care program reduced our overall financial cost by a third to half over the garment lifetime.

Lifetime Care FAQs
Lifetime care is a price per piece (jacket/trouser), per year, for three years, paid in advance when purchasing new suits.
All fire suits come with a 3 year or 36 garment wash manufacturers warranty. Lifetime care is a paid extra in addition to this.
If you have not heard from Styx Mill or you need a suit inspected, please contact us and we can schedule this process to be done.
Suits are valued based on condition and age when returned to Styx Mill. As a guide, the price can range from 20% off for new suits, down to $150 at 5 years old depending on usage. It is helpful to know the wash history of the garment as we often trade suits at 5 years old than have very little use and are worth a lot more.
